Malaysian ministry bans shark’s fin soup
Sat Sep 15, 2:50 PM ET
Malaysia’s Natural Resources and Environment Ministry has struck off shark’s fin soup from the menus at official functions, to help conserve the species, a report said Saturday.
Minister Azmi Khalid told the official Bernama news agency that the ministry had made the commitment to the Malaysian Nature Society.
“By refraining from the consumption of shark’s fin soup, it is hoped that the ministry would contribute in one way or another towards the current conservation efforts for sharks species,” he said.
“Their demise would start off a domino effect, which at each stage could result in the depletion or overpopulation of other fish and marine species leading to an imbalance in the marine ecosystem,” he said.
Malaysia’s population is dominated by Muslim Malays, but there are also large ethnic Chinese and Indian communities.
Hey check out this new recipe!
Well, sorry to cause some loss of appetite but this is actually a gallbladder filled with numerous stones and was filled with pus! In other words, Empyema of the Gallbladder!
Well, how did this happen? On of the larger stones impacted the cystic duct that connects the gallbladder to the main bile duct. This then forms a stagnant pool of bile within the gallbladder which can get infected and swollen. This is potentially dangerous as one can end up with life threatening complications.
Well, I guess after a long break - I should wake the audience up and probably cause an epidemic of mass vomiting!
Just as the week took a turn to being busy, I got an email to join the latest internet craze! Yep you got it right — FACEBOOK! And ever since that I find myself more engrossed into that then my blog! Goodness call it addiction! My facebook is full but not many friends as yet! Will top it up slowly but surely and thus I invite all my readers to join the latest craze - FACEBOOK

I took my niece and nephew to the Twin Towers, KLCC.
There they have musical fountain only you don’t hear the music. I will tell you why! Whatever it is I always enjoyed seeing the rhythmic movements of these fountains. Because there isn’t any music heard, I tend to place a music to the showers of the fountain.
So, often I don’t get the music right! So, why no music? I being a diver, decided maybe there is a underwater choir singing along, mainly by these school of squirrel fish,
together with a group of these banded pipefish

and alongside these school of beautiful fishes, all to form the KLCC Underwater Philharmonic Orchestra.

So alas I managed to go for this finale on the 2nd September when the Global Team and Canada demonstrated their fireworks. It was magnificent and since I did not see the rest, I could not compare with the other teams. I heard that the Malaysian team put up a good show too. The winners were the Australians and a colleague of mine manage to catch the video of the Australians doing their show. I will try to get the video and put it up later.
These are some of the shots I took. Since I was right in front, it was difficult to shoot as it was simply awesome and sometimes it felt like it was just above my head! Fantastic! I really enjoyed it!
The jam thereafter was horrible! It took me close to three hours to reach home!
