Malaysia International Fireworks Competition 2007

So alas I managed to go for this finale on the 2nd September when the Global Team and Canada demonstrated their fireworks. It was magnificent and since I did not see the rest, I could not compare with the other teams. I heard that the Malaysian team put up a good show too. The winners were the Australians and a colleague of mine manage to catch the video of the Australians doing their show. I will try to get the video and put it up later.

These are some of the shots I took. Since I was right in front, it was difficult to shoot as it was simply awesome and sometimes it felt like it was just above my head! Fantastic! I really enjoyed it!

The jam thereafter was horrible! It took me close to three hours to reach home!

That’s all! Enjoy

Had to miss that last fireworks display. I’m sure it would’ve been awesome with all the competing teams taking part.
U going to check out the International Tattoo Show at Merdeka Stadium this weekend? That should be another interesting event to photograph…

Simply spectacular! Awesome! Very good shots.

My brother took my mum to the earlier ones and he parked his car on the Perdana Bridge and even that, they felt that the fireworks were like shooting towards you. That’s how my mum described it.

Dr George, if you practice singing “My Way” I bet you could one day cut an album too! You’ll never know maybe Engelbert could be passing by one of the karaoke lounge and then ….. he happens to hear ….

Great fireworks. What can I say, the Aussies don’t do thinks half heartedly.

Eee, I was just thinking of the song “My Way” and then I see Ilene commenting on it. Huh?

Thanks for sharing the fireworks pics! Real awesome.

The trick in getting home early next time is to start inching your way out when you know the fireworks show is going to end but I guess you were too glued to the spot to move ,haha

Lovely shots of the fireworks. I have some shots of team Italy and Japan on my blog. Didn’t catch the rest as I was afraid of the jam after being caught in it for about 2-3 hours :D

    Hi Dr. George,
I am sreejith from Kerala. I have read many of your blog entries though I am not a Dr, I am an Engineer!. Your blogs (especially photos in blogs, I didnt mean these firework pictures.) are reveling great information to common people (like me) which otherwise is only known to Drs. I have a keen desire to know the happenings in medical field and I find your blog the right place for it.

    thanks a lot,
