Whether it is side to side or back to back, I suppose this coral banded shrimps were posing for me as I snapped my camera. I probably blinded them temporarily.

A little info about this beautiful creatures:

Scientific Name
: Stenopus hispidus

Average Size: To about 4″ in length.

Other Common Names: Banded Coral Shrimp, Banded Cleaner Shrimp, Banded Boxer Shrimp, Barber Pole Shrimp

Identification
: Long, white antennae with red or violet and white striped body and legs.

Life span
: 2 – 3 years, maybe longer

Characteristics: Stenopus hispidus gets along well with most fish and invertebrates (see exceptions, below) in an aquarium. However, triggerfish and many eels will dine on Coral Banded Shrimp when given the opportunity. This shrimp will actively clean fish, when presented with parasites.

Diet
: Stenopus hispidus is a scavenger by nature and will take most meaty foods. Will readily devour Polychaete Worms when they are present.

Aquarium Suitability: Is aggressive towards other shrimp and crustaceans. It also preys on worms, snails and small hermit crabs. Being a nocturnal animal, the Coral Banded Shrimp greatly prefers the protection of a cave or overhang during the day.

My First Time

Hi, looks like I am in the mood! Well actually, this is also another email sent by a friend!

It was my first time ever
And I’ll never forget
I’d do it again
Without a single regret.
The sky was dark
The moon was high
We were all alone
Just she and I.
Her hair was soft
Her eyes were blue
I knew just what
She wanted to do.
Her skin so soft
Her legs so fine
I ran my fingers
Down her spine.
I didn’t know how
But I tried my best
I started by placing
My hands on her breast.
I remember my fear
My fast beating heart
But slowly she spread
Her legs apart.
And when I did it
I felt no shame
All at once
The white stuff came.
At last it’s finished
It’s all over now
My first time ever
At milking a cow…

A friend sent me this. Read on!

Walking through San Francisco’s Chinatown, a tourist from the Midwest was enjoying the artistry of all the Chinese restaurants, shops, signs and banners when he turned a corner and saw a building with the sign “Moshe Plotnik’s Laundry.”

“Moshe Plotnik?” he wondered. “How does that belong in Chinatown?”

He walked into the shop and saw a fairly standard looking dry cleaner, although he could see that the proprietors were clearly aware of the uniqueness of the store name as there were baseball hats, T-shirts and coffee mugs emblazoned with the logo “Moshe Plotnik’s Chinese Laundry.”

The tourist selected a coffee cup as a conversation piece to take back to his office. Behind the counter was a smiling old Chinese gentleman who thanked him for his purchase. The tourist asked, “Can you explain how this place got a name like ‘Moshe Plotnik’s Laundry?’

The old man answered,

“Ah…evleebody ask me that . It name of owner.”

Looking around, the tourist asked, “Is he here?”

“It me,” replies the old man.

“Really? You’re Chinese. How did you ever get a name like Moshe Plotnik?”

“Is simple”, said the old man.

“Many, many year ago I come to this country. I standing in line at ‘Documentation Center of Immigration.’ Man in front of me was Jewish man from Poland. Lady at counter look at him and say,
“What your name?” He say, “Moshe Plotnik.”

Then she look at me and say, “What’s your name?”

I say, “Sam Ting.”

Enjoy!

A young lady in her early 20s, who became paraplegic from her mid chest and below from a motor vehicle accident, was admitted for sudden colicky abdominal pain and a grossly distended abdomen. She had difficulty passing motion since her injury and opens her bowel almost once every week. This present episode has occurred before but not as severe as this present presentation. She noticed some changes in her bowel habit since 3 months ago. On examination, she had a grossly distended but soft abdomen and per rectal examination reveals a mass compressing the rectum from above. So, what is this mass?

Note: The importance of complete history taking and the falls of making assumptions. I have left out a few things in the history which you can ask? Happy Guessing!

A weekend in Bali

So thanks to Air Asia, my parents, my sister and her kids and I, bought a holiday package to Bali. We left to Bali on a Friday and returned home on Sunday. Short it was, but a lovely holiday surely.

While waiting for the flight,

Upon reaching the hotel, we got a free upgrade to a two family room. It was huge and very spacious. The service was good and the place like many places in Bali looks exotic.

We then took a walk that night and came across this interesting but spine chilling fun called the , Bali Slingshot.

True to its name, it actually sling shoots its occupant sitting in a sphere which rotates in its axis at the same time right up into the dark skies, stays up there for a second or two before free falling back down to earth. Screams could be heard even from my hotel room.

They had horse carts – healthy looking ones, unlike the ones you find in Malaysia. They also had lots of pride in their locally made coffee.

As the rest retired to bed, I strolled the beach, initially hoping to catch some action, but ended up practising my night photography shots. What do you think?

Next would be Day 2 at Bali!

The silence cracks into bursting laughters,
The face is carved with a smiling lip,
Contended and happy,
But yet deep within,
I feel……,
Something amiss!

The vast ocean and its marine life,
Fills the heart aglow,
The silence in depths,
Where just the breath and heart beat,
Comes in unison – just breathtaking,
The freedom felt,
The joy that fills the air,
But as I ascend,
My heart skips a beat in anticipation,
Then within a second, I shudder feeling
Something deep within myself
Amiss……

As I dwell deep within myself,
I fail to remove the remnants of my previous episode,
I have embedded her within the depth of my recesses,
Far too safe for anyone to reach
Even from myself
Despite all that, that has occurred,
The events have left a significant part of me empty.

As I sit and ponder at my future,
I cannot help but wonder,
“Love conquers all”, is this true?
Is love the only important thing,
In a relationship!
Deep within, my mind screams a loud NO,
As my heart soaks with sadness at reality.

Picking up my shattered pieces,
I ask myself should I plunge myself into this again?
Can I trust another again totally?
For every gesture I see in another,
Would only reflect those of hers!

Talking to a friend I realise,
That as much as I hate her now,
For the words uttered,
For the gestures and actions done,
I still am very much in love with her,
In love with the unchanged her that I initially fell in love with!

Amiss,
Were my feelings for the last few weeks,
I countered them by watching movies,
Almost all were seen,
But yet almost immediately thereafter,
The emptiness creeps in,
Faster than lightning!

Can I be able to love again?
Maybe but the truth is,
Can I be able to trust another again?
Difficult but I suppose,
With time, with time!
