Why do women smoke?
As I walk around town, I am astonished to see the ever growing number of women or ladies puffing about like it was a fashion sense to do so. I wonder why? Why make yourselves look wrinkled and your lips darker then cover it over with thick lipcoat? Why let your skin dry and worn out? Why let yourselves age 10 or maybe 20 times older? Yes initially this changes are inconspicuous but as time, as normally it does last, then these effects become more pronounced and irreversible.
Then again, I don’t actually know why men smoke too but I do hope that the lame excuse of women trying to imitate their male counterpart is not one of them!

When I first came to UK, I was totally taken aback by the number of women who smoke. In Australia, it was not prominant but maybe because of the circle of people I mixed with.
I am surprised to hear you say this, implying Malaysian women or am I being presumptious? My assistant smokes something like 10 cigarettes a day but she does not look a day older than her age. She is actually 39.

I guess now that the North American market is so lean for the tobacco companies they are promoting their products heavily elsewhere. Smoking has to be the stupidest habit around, it is totally senseless and no one likes it when they start so why do they continue, especially now that we know it is so bad for your health. Those ladies need to see some of your lung surgery photos.

well…i was flabbergasted with the ammount of women smoking in the uk. To be honest i think they out number men. But since 1st july this year..uk has banned all indoor or confined area smoking. Hence..no smoking area in restaurant, pubs, bars, shopping centre…etc.. great eh? I think malaysia should do this as well.

With what we know today, I ask myself that question all of the time? why does ANYONE start smoking TODAY?
Then again, why do people insist on eating junk food day after day, isn’t it almost the same thing?
great site

‘ada gaya, baru cantik’ I think that is what the lady-smoker thinks. Like a movie star. I only see the effects of smoking of the woman on herself, on her unborn child and on the passive smokers around her. I also see hard earned money go up in smoke! What a waste!
I hate people smoking around me and my kids because we have asthma.:-(

Thus why the packets of ciggies in SG are too expensive..with all the pics of cancer and lung cancer….and now… they even thinking of printing dollar notes on the white side of the stick..so everytime they lit up..it’s their money up in smoke.

I found your blog via Google while searching for side effects of smoking and your post regarding Why do women smoke? looks very interesting to me. I could not believe the amount of quality material on this site. The site is extremely eyecatching and pulls the reader straight it, the articles are great quality and are very professionally written. I have seen too many of these sites where it looks like they pay an 8 year old to do the writing - Not this one. Your site is easily the best that I have seen in a long while.
