Some background for people about the June 13th event - the flood diversion system was not yet operational, or scheduled to be operational until August. However, because of that event the program of works was accelerated to be completed by the end of June, which it was (i.e. two weeks!!). I am not sure if anyone has seen the tunnel in operation since but it has diverted flood waters many times since with minimal consequences to the public. It's actually going to be featured in two more documentaries, one for the National Geographic channel - Jan 25th 2008 @ 10pm Malaysian time and one for Discovery Channel - Man Made Marvels some time in April/May/June (still in production).
