I watched this on my cousin’s blog and was flabbergasted. I suppose the Japanese would do anything to get ‘fresh’ fish/meat. Is there no RSPCA in Japan?

I live in Japan but have never come across dolphin’s meat nor heard about this.
I think it happened in some certain part of Japan. There were some videos circulated around for whale massacre by the beach in Japan too. Very cruel process.
Hi Judy, I am sure they have RSPCA-like organisations there but maybe the regulations are not alike or as stringent.
Akiko, what do you think? The footage looks real and like hoiling says, there are other inhumane stuff done and shown.
Tell us how strict are the regulations in Japan in regards of such events. Thanks for visiting

Inhumanity to animals happens elsewhere in the world too, but it cannot be compared to
this recent report of a mentally disturbed 14 year-old Japanese boy who severed his own mother’s head and carried it in his bag to the police station when he finally turned himself in. He did it just because he claimed that he felt like killing someone and the mother happened to visit him and was sleeping in the bedroom. It was reported that he has been reading too much of bloody stuffs and has once seen a psychiatrist. Grosteque, inhumane and absolutely insane.

BTW, by “bloody stuffs”, I meant violence. A man here was arrested for cruelty to dogs a year or two years ago. Will try to found out more about the dolphin massacre.
