George, my friend Emma wants to know if those photos are all taken by you? Also, what is the approximate cost to dive there? Emma is also into diving. She is going back to Egypt (The Red Sea) and going to Sth Africa to swim with the sharks in July. She would love to go to Malaysia diving if the budget is right.

Yes, Judy. All this pictures are my personal shots.
The east coast islands along the Peninsular Malaysia are cheap and beautiful. I have written about Redang and Perhentian Islands. Other sites are Tioman, Tenggol, Lang Tengah, Pemanggil and Aur Islands. The cost for a dive trip at these islands would range around RM800 to RM1200 for a 3d/2n minimum 5 dives. The rooms are comfortable and usually with hot shower and air conditioning. Prices can be lower if in a group.
Sipadan would cost about RM1800 to RM2500 for a 6d4n 10 - 12 dives. Layang-Layang which is known for their hammerhead schools can reach RM3500 for the same no. of dives. Mataking (also written earlier) which is beautiful in every way would cost about RM 2500 to RM 3000 for the same no. of dives.
If she is interested to come for a dive in Malaysia and wants more info she can ask me or register with Malaysia Diving Community internet forum. If interested, maybe she could join our dives. Feel free to ask.
