I actually had a case about a month ago when an elderly lady was admitted with fever chills and multiple areas of abscess over the scalp body and legs and was diabetic. Her cultures were positive for meliodosis. But the above lady had carbuncle / abscesses at different periods of time, so still possible?

eve ya lo always lke that one. Actually, very normal human reaction, fear of the unknown. that is why the fear factor can be so good show. Dont you think?</description>

					<description>Yes george, it is still possible for patients to come with recurrent multiple abscesses at different time period. If Melioidosis is not picked up that one find day they will present with fatal sepsis and pneumonia.</description>
